A set of three wireless sensors for monitoring the status of doors and windows with proprietary SuperLink technology and exceptional battery life.
The UniFi Entry Sensor is a compact wireless device designed for monitoring the opening and closing of doors or windows within the UniFi Protect ecosystem. The sensor utilizes proprietary SuperLink technology operating at 865.1–869.5 MHz and offers an impressive range of up to 2 km. Thanks to its low-power mode and high-quality CR123A lithium battery, it achieves a battery life of up to 6 years under standard use.
The sensor consists of two parts – a main unit with electronics and a magnetic element. Detection works via a reed switch that responds to the approach of a magnet at distances up to 30 mm. The device is equipped with a status LED (red/blue/white), signal LED (blue/red), factory reset, function button, and a tamper switch for detecting unauthorized tampering.
Integration with UniFi Protect
The sensor is fully compatible with the UniFi Protect web and mobile application for iOS™ and Android™. The function button allows easy device identification in the interface – when pressed, the sensor is highlighted on the device page. A SuperLink Gateway must be present in the network for communication.
Battery Life Optimization
The sensor operates in sleep mode with minimal power consumption. Actual battery life depends on the frequency of openings – with fewer than 10 events per day, it can reach up to 6 years; at higher frequencies, the battery life decreases proportionally. Low temperatures may also reduce battery life.
Certifications and Compatibility
The device meets FCC, IC, and CE certifications for operation in the respective regions and is NDAA compliant. The polycarbonate body ensures durability and long service life under normal use.
